Sand In My Shoes, Sun On My Face
August 9th, 2008 . by adminOnce upon a time I made close to a six-figure income, spent most of my time working, and rarely saw daylight.
I went to work in the dark, came home in the dark, and my blood pressure was actually scaring my doctor.
One afternoon I passed a real estate office and, on a whim, walked in and began leafing through brochures on Daytona Beach Real Estate.
Maybe it was because it was snowing outside, or maybe because I had the “mother of all headaches” (again), but I made an on-the-spot decision I’ve never regretted.
That week I quit my job, rented a house in Florida, and put my things in storage.
Thirty years later I’m still here, making one-quarter the salary, but without a headache on the horizon, and sunshine pouring into my home office.
