Prescribing a Drug Problem
March 19th, 2008 . by adminHave you ever considered the fact that your doctor, who you’ve come to know and appreciate, might be prescribing a drug problem? If you’ve just had major surgery and were prescribed pain medication, you need to take care to only take the prescribed dosage that was recommended to you by your doctor. If the pain is too much and you feel tempted to take twice the dosage, be careful. You may be setting yourself up for future dependency on that drug. If getting yourself addicted to prescribed medication wasn’t enough to worry about, don’t forget about your children. If you have children, be sure to talk to them about the medication you’re taking and store your medication in a safe place where you can keep track of how much you’ve taken, etc. More and more children are dipping into their parent’s medicine supply and becoming addicted to prescription medication. There are many inherent dangers associated with doing something like this, so exercise extreme caution. If you fail to take your prescribed medication in the way in which it was prescribed, it may end up killing you.
