Taking Protein Immediately After Training

I saw this notice that was posted in my local gym the other day. They normally put up various tips and motivational quotes but this one I wasn’t too sure of. It basically told members to have whey protein and several grams of sugar about half an hour after training. I’m not sure if this is a good idea or not. Surely if you want the best way to burn fat, then having sugar after you train can’t be good can it? It confused me so much I had to go and ask the person who wrote it and apparently it is good solid information that is proven to work. I still hold my judgement.
