My husband and I are smokers (yes, it is bad for us). We have cut back a lot, and are trying to cut back more due to the after effects in the house.

We recently went on vacation, and when we came back, I could smell the stale cigarette leftovers from a week earlier.

First we bought air purifiers. It really does keep the air cleaner, and much to my surprise, I do not have to dust as often!

After this incident, I also cleaned the sofa, and the rest of our furniture to freshen up a bit. Much better.
