Solar cookers can be used to cook food.  Here, the cooker’s inside would have insulation and also got a top made of glass.  The glass top allows sunlight  generated heat to pass through and trap it inside the box.  This is used for heating/cooking the food inside.  But this has not gained popularity among public.  But over the next few years, as global warming takes the fron stage and gets hyped up, I think more people will be looking to these kinds of methods for generating power and saving some money on the utilities.  After all if you can make solar power at home then why in the world would you want to pay the power company all that extra money.
