An IP address is a digital address that any electronic devices use in order to identify and communicate with each other on a computer network using the Internet Protocol standard. In other words, any participating network device such as routers, computers, switches, printers, internet fax machines and any other machines that can be put in accordance with the network can have its own IP address that is unique in the whole network.
