My Aunt Trudy passed away last fall from a long battle with cancer. When I first found out that I was named the executor of estate under her will I felt very honored. But soon after her death everybody in the family started pestering me about giving them money. Being the executor of estate means that you have to keep all the records of every expense of the estate. Since my aunt owned a lot of “stuff” it was one headache after another. That is when I decided to give up being Executor of estate and turned the matter over to a real professional.  I hired a probate attorney who took care of everything… even the complaints.
